  • Better Than the First, And the First Was Good

    # Bring It Sabel Security Book II Bring it is the second book I've read of the Sabel Security series. I liked the first one enough to continue, though it's been a while since I've read anything due to some vision problems. I just started reading again about one month ago, so it should tell you something that I chose this book so soon. Anyway, on to the book. The action starts immediately. At first, I was a bit confused, and thought it might have been since it had been so long between reads, but Seeley filled in the details nicely, and I realized that some of the events had happened previously. In a mystery or thriller, one of the important parts of the book are plot twists and James doesn't disappoint here. The plot is well thought out and delivered nicely, complete with the unexpected twist. I like this in a book or movie. It makes it exciting when you know that something unexpected might happen. The other thing that's refreshing is the character development. I had a minor issue in the first book with character development, but that has been resolved. I think the development is good, and the characters also will surprise you. Another good thing. As usual, Seeley does an excellent job of setting, and letting you feel as if you are right there with the character, no matter where they happen to be. Whether it's a remote island, the nation's capitol, or Eastern Europe, Seeley does a great job of making you feel part of it. This is no easy task, but he does it well. Lastly, the action is good and believable. All in all a great read and a series I would recommend.

    WOW! James, Pia and her crew take us on another wild ride. This was a real page turner for me. Story line was awesome and the cast as usual were perfect. A high treason Washington conspiracy up there with some of the best. Loads of action, indecision and mistakes along with a new character kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend reading this Pia Sable series of books !
